About The Position

Purpose: provides strategic leadership over patient safety, risk management, and performance improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory standards (CMS, Joint Commission). They analyze data, develop policies, and collaborate with clinicians to enhance care quality, reduce harm, and improve patient experience. What you will do: Regulatory Compliance: Ensures the hospital meets all national, state, and accreditation standards. Patient Safety & Risk Management: Oversees incident reporting, harm reduction initiatives, and root cause analyses. Performance Improvement: Identifies opportunities for improvement in clinical care and operational efficiency. Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitors quality metrics and uses data to trend performance. Staff Education: Trains staff and leadership on quality standards and patient safety policies. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing.
  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Candidates with Associates Degree must be working towards BSN or health care related degree, e.g. Health Care Administration.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of clinical practice in a health care setting is required.
  • Basic experience using computer (word processing skills minimum) is required.
  • Current Florida Nursing License required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • CCM is preferred.
  • Previous Utilization Review or Case Management experience is preferred.
  • Experience in changing healthcare processes preferred, such as Quality Improvement Team participation.
