About The Position

The Goddard School of Chicago – West Loop is seeking an exceptional educator to join their team in a unique dual-role position that combines classroom excellence with leadership development. As their Lead Preschool/Pre-K Teacher, you will inspire young learners while partnering with their leadership team to support school operations. This role offers the opportunity to take on administrative responsibilities, gain hands-on leadership experience, and grow within their organization. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is Director Qualified and looking to expand their career beyond the classroom while continuing to make a meaningful impact on children and families. In this dual role, you will lead a high-quality Preschool or Pre-K classroom and implement an engaging curriculum. You will also support school leadership with administrative responsibilities, daily operations, and family engagement as needed. Additionally, you will assist with school marketing initiatives, social media content, community outreach, and special events. You will build strong relationships with families and represent their school within the West Loop community. You will collaborate with their leadership team to promote excellence in education and customer experience.

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• 1-2 years of previous experience preferred
• Has successfully completed state-required pre-service training
• Develops relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
• Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
• For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
