About The Position

We have an opportunity for a Director, Public Sector Marketing to join our Global Marketing team in Herndon, VA, reporting to the VP, Revenue Marketing. In this pivotal role, you will define and lead the marketing strategy for Infoblox’s U.S. Public Sector business, partnering with our Federal and SLED sales leaders to drive pipeline and revenue growth. Collaborating closely with Sales, Solutions Marketing, Channel/Partner Marketing, and Marketing Operations, you will build and execute integrated, data-driven programs that increase awareness, create demand, and accelerate deal velocity across Federal, State, Local, and Education customers and prospects. You will also leverage modern marketing technologies, including AI-powered tools, to scale personalized engagement, optimize investments, and deliver clear insights to the business.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of B2B marketing experience with a focus on integrated demand generation and pipeline creation, including several years leading strategy and execution at the segment or regional level
  • Proven experience marketing cybersecurity solutions to the U.S. public sector, including both Federal and SLED audiences (civilian, defense, state, local, and/or education)
  • Demonstrated success planning and executing omni-channel campaigns (events, webinars, email, paid media, digital, SEO, content syndication) with measurable pipeline and revenue impact
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms (e.g., Marketo, Salesforce) and analytics, including use of AI-enabled tools for content, insights, and optimization
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor content for technical, business, and executive-level public sector stakeholders
  • Track record of collaborating effectively in a matrixed environment across Sales, Product Marketing, Solutions Marketing, Channel/Partner Marketing, Creative, and Operations
  • Demonstrated ability to own and optimize a marketing budget, forecast and measure ROI, and make data-driven investment decisions
  • Excellent project management and presentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple programs and stakeholders while maintaining attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Develop an integrated U.S. Public Sector (Federal and SLED) marketing strategy aligned to annual pipeline, revenue, and account goals
  • Build and own a comprehensive Public Sector marketing plan spanning awareness, demand creation, acceleration, and customer expansion
  • Create and execute omni-channel demand generation campaigns (events, webinars, email, paid social, digital, content syndication, ABM) tailored to Federal and SLED audiences
  • Partner with Public Sector sales leadership to prioritize segments, territories, and target accounts, and align marketing to sales plays and quota coverage
  • Collaborate with Solutions Marketing and Product Marketing to translate Infoblox value propositions into differentiated, compliant messaging for government buyers
  • Leverage AI-assisted tools and marketing automation to create, personalize, and optimize content and campaigns based on performance data and buyer signals
  • Partner with Channel and Partner Marketing to design and execute joint campaigns with strategic public sector partners, distributors, and resellers
  • Coordinate and optimize a portfolio of third-party sponsorships, conferences, trade shows, and user groups focused on the Federal and SLED markets
  • Manage the Public Sector marketing budget and regularly review pipeline, performance, and program ROI with sales and operations stakeholders
  • Ensure all Public Sector marketing programs align with government compliance, security, and procurement requirements in partnership with Legal, Security, and Compliance
