About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Director, Psychiatry - Assertive Community Treatment to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services from primary and preventive care, to specialty services for children and adults, all designed to keep our community healthy. Requirements

  • Board Certification in Psychiatry.
  • Active, unrestricted NYS License.
  • Active DEA Registration.
  • Minimum 3 years of direct clinical experience, preferably in community based treatment program with direct clinical experience in community settings required.
  • Previous leadership, management, and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team setting.
  • Familiarity with high-risk patients and cultural sensitivity in community settings.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluation, treatment, and direct care to patients in the community; which includes but is not limited to treatment at the patient's home, shelters, and public areas.
  • Manage all Assertive Community Treatment programs for the facility.
  • Manage program reporting and regulatory requirements for NYC Health + Hospitals, DOHM, Joint Commission, and other relevant parties.
  • Supervision and provider collaboration with Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and other mid-level provider staff.
  • Supervision and teaching of Residents and Medical Students.
  • Provide clinical guidance to other members of the healthcare team.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.

Benefits

  • Annual Base Salary: $303,000 based on 40-hour work week.
  • The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $373,300, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
