About The Position

Serves in a provider setting and assists in achieving the mission to safeguard people, property, assets, and brand in the course of providing world-class quality and affordable care to its communities. Is a single-source Protective Services subject matter expert who provides security solutions, alternatives, and recommendations across the full spectrum of the service line, to include risk-based staffing, investigative support, loss prevention, incident reporting/critical notifications, incident analysis, crime prevention, risk assessments, law enforcement liaison, special event support, and workplace violence prevention to mitigate reasonably foreseeable risks that have the potential to disrupt the delivery of patient care.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field, or equivalent experience.
12 years recent relevant experience.
Solid expertise in formal/structured security risk assessment methodology.
Ability to mitigate risk by synchronizing the efforts and capabilities of people, process, and technology.
In-depth knowledge of building security staffing models.
Experience developing post/patrol strategies.
Experience effectively applying security technologies.
Ability to blend program elements with tailored processes to effectively manage risk within a clinical environment.
Understanding of the business impact of security tools, technologies, and policies.
Broad working knowledge of health care operations and their related security requirements.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of current and emerging physical security trends, risks, threats, countermeasures, vulnerabilities, and mitigations.
Written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to give presentations and translate complex concepts into business and clinician relatable language.
Proven ability to interpret and effectively apply regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Proven ability to work in complex, challenging, and dynamic environments.
