As Director of Protective Intelligence and Programs, you’ll lead specialized teams responsible for mitigating threats to the organization’s people, assets, and operations. This role encompasses oversight of risk research and identification, tactical resource guidance, threat management, and travel safety policies. You will play a critical role in shaping the company’s protective posture through intelligence-driven decision-making, strategic coordination, and proactive risk mitigation. This position requires a seasoned security professional with strong strategic leadership capabilities, analytical acumen, and experience managing multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic, global environment. Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate studies in business administration, psychology, criminal justice, security management, or other related areas required.
  • Typically, ten to fifteen years of progressive leadership experience in corporate security, law enforcement, military, or intelligence operations with an international scope and breadth.
  • Minimum five to ten years of experience leading teams and/or managing others.
  • Experience with security technologies, threat management, data analytics, and incident reporting systems.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and crisis management skills.
  • Must be familiar with all laws governing private security as well as demonstrated knowledge of executive and event security programs in corporate settings.
  • Strong understanding of threat assessment methodologies, geopolitics, and global travel risk management.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced studies in leadership, geopolitical areas, and/or intelligence preferred.
  • Security, threat, and intelligence related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the development and execution of protective intelligence programs to assess threats to the company and its associates.
  • Represents Protective Services on the Incident Management Teams (IMT) and coordinates response strategies for critical events with other Protective Services leaders.
  • Represents Protective Services on the Insider Risk Working Group to ensure a holistic approach to risk mitigation is maintained.
  • Directs countersurveillance operations and ensures alignment with enterprise threat protocols.
  • Drives the delivery of high-quality intelligence products and analysis to assess threats and forecast events or conditions that may impact operations.
  • Provides strategic guidance on resource allocation, including deployment of close protection, event security and uniform protective services based on risk-based intelligence.
  • Collaborates with protective services leaders to adjust security posture based on evolving threat landscapes and operational needs.
  • Manages the global travel risk assessments process and recommends policy and protocol adjustments to ensure associate safe travel practices.
  • Develops and maintains safety protocols, emergency response plans, and destination-specific advisories.
  • Leads the team’s efforts to identify group and individual threat actors, geopolitical developments, and emerging threat vectors.
  • Partners with cybersecurity teams to align physical and digital threat intelligence.
  • Creates enhanced data analytics reporting products to measure Protective Services effectiveness.
  • Builds strong, collaborative work relationships across the organization and regularly communicates with leaders.
  • Leads associate performance, engagement, salary planning, development, hiring and work expectations.
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
