The Director of Prospect Management defines, implements, and manages the process for identifying, assigning, and managing donors and prospects to ensure maximum effectiveness of the University’s portfolio of major gift prospects. The Director is responsible for providing leadership and strategic planning for the University’s donor prospect research and management efforts including data analytics/predictive modeling with particular emphasis on support for major gift efforts and campaign initiatives. The Director plays a critical role in managing and analyzing prospect portfolios by participating in strategy sessions and screening initiatives and working closely with the Associate Vice President of Advancement Services and the Associate Vice President for Development as well as development officers in identifying and analyzing prospects for major gift solicitation and ensuring a healthy pipeline of prospects is maintained for solicitation efforts. Prospect Management provides information that helps University representatives build, maintain, and strengthen the relationships that lead to major gifts. The information collected is used in conjunction with information gathered by development personnel to help create a sophisticated approach to fundraising that is well conceived, sensitive, and effective. The Director supervises a team of full-time employees within the Prospect Management unit.
