Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years experience as a program/portfolio leadership within a global, matrixed, preferably including experience with consumer-focused medical or software products.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise-level portfolios and influence senior stakeholders, and to collaborate effectively with global stakeholders across multiple time zones.
  • Deep expertise in governance design, operating models, and portfolio prioritization
  • Strong executive communication and decision-making skills
  • Proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of people at all levels of the organization within a variety of departments.
  • Strong leadership, and the ability to collect information from multiple sources, and synthesize, integrate, and resolve conflicting requirements and cross-functional issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Typically, the incumbent would have a Bachelors or Master's degree in a business or a technical discipline. MBA desirable.
  • Cross-functional experience in the areas of R&D, Commercial, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, and Manufacturing
  • Knowledge of regulations and standards related to medical devices (eg FDA, ISO, QSR design controls).
  • Experience with portfolio management tools and reporting frameworks preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise, cross-portfolio programs that span multiple domains (e.g., Privacy, Compliance, Digital/Customer Platforms), either directly or through Program Managers
  • Formulate, harmonize and consolidate project scopes, plans, strategies, and budgets for one or more projects, working closely with functional Project Managers and other Subject Matter Experts from R&D, Commercial, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing, and other functions.
  • Lead and develop Program Managers responsible for strategic, cross-functional initiatives
  • Provide leadership for the Issue Response Team, driving coordinated, rapid response to high-priority issues, escalations, and business-critical events
  • Ensure clear governance, decision-making rigor, and executive visibility during issue response situations
  • Drive consistent, high-quality delivery across complex, interdependent programs
  • Serves as the liaison between the team and management
  • Own the end-to-end performance of ADC’s Integrated Business Planning (IBP) function, ensuring alignment of strategy, priorities, and execution
  • Drive integration of portfolio planning, prioritization, and resource alignment within IBP processes
  • Lead prioritization and trade-off discussions to optimize value delivery across ADC
  • Integrate customer and market insights into portfolio prioritization and planning decisions
  • Define and continuously evolve IBP governance frameworks, including decision rights, escalation pathways, and planning cadences
  • Establish and standardize operating models, processes, and execution standards across Portfolio Operations and the broader PMO
  • Ensure IBP is effectively integrated with key business processes (e.g., portfolio reviews, financial planning, cross-functional planning cycles)
  • Partner with senior leaders across R&D, Commercial, Operations, Quality and Regulatory and others to align IBP inputs, priorities, and execution
  • Serve as a connector across ADC portfolios, ensuring alignment between planning and delivery
  • Lead executive-level IBP reviews, enabling senior leadership decision-making through clear insights, scenario analysis, and prioritization trade-offs
  • Lead and align a multi-capability portfolio operations team to drive cohesive execution
