About The Position

Bevi is hiring a Director of Program Management to lead its central Project Management Office (PMO), which runs new product introduction (NPI) programs from concept through launch. The PMO is part of Operations, includes five program managers, and reports to the COO. This is both a leadership and hands-on role: the director will develop the team, establish standards for managing hardware programs, and directly lead an important NPI program as needed. The role is intended to help reduce NPI cycle time while improving predictability and quality. The director will lead the PMO and own Bevi’s phase-gate process, ensuring each gate results in a clear go, no-go, or recycle decision and that open items have owners. They will establish credible, regularly updated schedules; track risks and evidence such as drawings, test results, decisions, and supplier dates; and escalate issues early with options. They will coordinate decisions across functions, report program status to leadership and the Board, and partner with Product, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Service, and Sales to support launches that meet quality, cost, and supply-readiness targets. The role also supports portfolio prioritization and visible resource and schedule tradeoffs, manages programs involving contract manufacturers and design partners, including partners in Asia, and improves PMO efficiency through focused meetings, a single system of record, and automation and AI. The director will lead post-program reviews and use lessons learned to improve the playbook.

  • Track record of taking connected hardware products through EVT, DVT, PVT, and production launch.
  • Experience across electro-mechanical, firmware, and app components.
  • Experience with consumer, commercial, or appliance-type hardware products.
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers on new product launches.

  • Identify risks early, assign owners, and track key inputs such as drawings, test results, decisions, and supplier dates.
  • Base program status on evidence, including test data, released drawings, and placed purchase orders; escalate issues before dates are missed and present options.

  • Report program status to the leadership team and Board.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Service, and Sales to support launches that meet target quality, cost, and supply-readiness requirements.

  • Manage programs involving contract manufacturers and design partners, including partners in Asia.
  • Keep core teams small and meetings focused on decisions and issues.
  • Move program information into one system of record so status is updated once and reports draw from it.
  • Use automation and AI to reduce the time program managers spend compiling updates.
  • Conduct post-program reviews and apply lessons learned to improve the playbook.
