Raytheon - Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) is seeking a Director, Program Management to support a highly visible complex area within the Radar Frequency Solutions (RFS) Sub-Strategic Business Unit (SSBU). The Director, Program Management will be responsible for managing a portfolio of programs while supervising and mentoring a team of Program Managers. You will work closely with Program Managers to ensure flawless program execution of development and production programs and be responsible for the capture and execution of strategic business as a growth engine for RFS. The successful candidate will be responsible for profit/loss ownership and for working with all functions to meet dynamic sales, profit, and cash goals and to improve productivity while ensuring execution of the annual 5-year business plan to meet commitments to Raytheon. This is an onsite role located in El Segundo, CA.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum 14 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 12 years experience
  • Program management or project management experience leading US government and/or international contracts
  • Experience leading proposal capture activities
  • Experience managing cost, schedule, financial forecast, and technical performance for programs using Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Risk and Opportunity Management, Scope Board, or similar business
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and reporting out to executive stakeholders
  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start

Nice To Haves

  • Proven success creating and maintaining strong executive level relationships with suppliers, customers, government representatives, primes and internal peers
  • Program Management Level 3 Certification
  • Experience with Radar and/or Software development and production
  • Proven success creating and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, customers, government representatives, primes and internal peers
  • Experience working with U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy or other customers on government programs with complexity requiring direct customer interfaces, both internal and external
  • Experience developing and implementing execution, coordination, and growth strategies
