About The Position

2K Games is seeking a Director, Program Management – Business Operations to oversee the daily planning and operating rhythm for the Business Unit. This role is crucial for aligning Studio, Publishing, and central 2K functions through recurring planning cycles, leadership cadences, and special projects. The position operates at the intersection of Studio and Publishing, as well as centralized 2K functions like Legal, Finance, Insights, and Localization. The ideal candidate will partner directly with leadership and external partners, platform holders, or vendors. Success means the BU’s planning and operating rhythm runs predictably, decisions and action items are tracked to closure, and the Sr. Director, Business Operations has a trusted owner for daily operations. This role focuses on the execution of the BU’s planning and operating rhythm, including leadership forums, cross-functional planning, and decision tracking, while collaborating with the Sr. Director, Business Operations on long-range strategy. The role involves managing members of the Business Operations team, contributing institutional knowledge, and standardizing BU planning and operations.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years in business operations, project/program management, management consulting, or related roles
  • A minimum of 4 years managing people through recurring operating cadences and cross-functional programs.
  • Demonstrated experience owning executive-level governance and planning cadences (steering committees, business reviews) end to end, including agenda-setting and follow-through.
  • Track record leading ambiguous, undefined problems to structured outcomes, including scoping, staffing, and sequencing initiatives with no existing playbook.
  • Experience partnering with both centralized service organizations and product/BU-aligned teams, including hybrid structures.
  • Comfortable operating in global, matrixed, high-ambiguity environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the judgment to know what to escalate and what to resolve independently.
  • Strong systems-thinking and organizational skills; able to bring clarity and structure to complex, cross-functional planning and operations.
  • Experience managing people and some exposure to budget and resource planning.

Nice To Haves

  • Gaming, entertainment, or media experience a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge of Google suite applications (slides, sheets, docs, etc), Miro, Confluence.
  • Prior experience in a management consulting, corporate strategy, or PMO role.
  • Familiarity with live-service game production, publishing, or marketing operations.
  • Strong PC and Mac general computing skills
  • Excited about gaming, understand game terms, and be up-to-date with what is happening in gaming.

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day planning and operating rhythm for the Business Unit: recurring planning cycles, leadership meeting cadences, and cross-functional check-ins that keep the BU aligned and moving.
  • Run leadership forums (steering committees, business reviews, leadership offsites) end to end – building agendas, preparing materials, and ensuring the right people and information are in the room – so the Sr. Director, Business Operations can stay focused on the highest-level initiatives and long-term strategy.
  • Capture decisions and action items across BU operating rhythms, assign clear owners, and track follow-through to closure; escalate stalled items before they become risks.
  • Manage members of the Business Operations team executing this day-to-day work, and coach Senior Managers and Managers staffed onto initiatives.
  • Intake, scope, and prioritize special projects and cross-functional initiatives that don’t have an obvious functional home.
  • Lead time-bound, high-ambiguity projects end to end across Studio, Publishing, and/or centralized 2K functions (Legal, Finance, Localization, Insights, Ratings, etc.), building the plan, RACI, and workback schedule as needed.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and operations partner to BU leadership, surfacing risks early and facilitating alignment across competing priorities.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, partners, agencies, or other outside parties when initiatives require it, ensuring 2K’s interests and standards are represented.
  • Build and maintain the planning tools, trackers, and reporting cadences that give BU leadership real-time visibility into both ongoing operations and the special projects portfolio.
  • Partner with the Sr. Director, Business Operations to translate long-term strategy and priorities into the BU’s day-to-day planning and operating rhythm.
  • Drive continuous improvement in how the BU plans and operates, codifying playbooks and best practices that can be reused across future initiatives.
