About The Position

Biogen is looking for an experienced leader in alliance and program management to fill a crucial role in the evolution of the company and, potentially, the care of Alzheimer’s Disease. The role of Late Stage Alzheimer’s Disease Alliance and Program Director will primarily be focused on alliance management and be responsible for supporting and enabling productive collaborations for three programs currently in phase 2/3 development and report to the Sr. Director Program and Alliance Management. The candidate will work collaboratively with Biogen teams and its partner to oversee the strategic direction of multiple late-stage Alzheimer’s Disease assets; ensure clear internal and cross-collaboration communication as well as alignment on goals, metrics, timelines and deliverables; maintain effective and efficient relationships; and drive toward the achievement of results. This individual will partner across functions within the alliances to ensure proper compliance with agreements and internal Biogen processes. In addition, this role will provide program management support to Biogen collaboration committees’ as they provide strategic oversight and management of collaboration assets.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Biogen- partner alliance committees
  • Support Sr. Dir Program and Alliance Management to set objectives, priorities and overall strategy for scheduled and ad hoc alliance committee meetings and prepare Biogen committee members
  • Ensure timely and efficient flow of information, presentations, publications, between Biogen and partner
  • Manages fulfillment of contractual obligations to and from the partner
  • Works closely with Finance business partner on budget forecasts, budget reconciliation and alignment with Biogen business processes
  • Ensure alignment between collaboration and Biogen processes around annual and long-range planning and governance
  • Builds and maintains Alliance Management systems and processes as needed
  • Cultivate an effective working relationship and communication between partners
  • Lead effective and efficient team operation and culture (e.g. operational responsibility for Joint Committee meetings, including scheduling, aligning agendas with key deliverables and as directed by the JSC, meeting content, distribution of minutes and completion of action items.
  • Works closely with internal committee members and PDC stakeholders to prepare for partner interactions
