About The Position

L3 Harris Technologies is seeking a Director, Scheduling/Material Planning/Logistics located in Camden, AR. This person will lead a team of Logistics, Scheduling and Material Management professionals. This leader will lead a team responsible for demand/material planning, production scheduling, logistics and production scheduling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related Scheduling/ Planning and Logistics experience.
  • Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to obtain a US secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree considered a plus
  • Inventory/Material Management certifications (e.g. APICS) considered a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manages experienced professionals or team(s) led by lower level supervisors or managers.
  • Often leads one or more teams or a department.
  • Responsible for creating workforce and staffing plans for team or department to ensure availability of human capital necessary to accomplish departmental business results.
  • Has hiring, firing, promotion and compensation authority within own organization, in accordance with management review and approval.
  • Ensures Master Production Scheduling demand is properly loaded & actively maintained in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Provides detailed scheduling context and analysis to production and support areas; Assists in development of scheduling “catch back / recovery” options.
  • Monitors inventory of on-hand supply, in-bound material, and in-house WIP vs. ERP demand.
  • Ensures timely issuance of material in alignment with program requirements and shop floor capacity.
  • Controls Inventory Management, Material Issue, Material Cost Transfers.
  • Releases direct material purchase requisitions.
  • Monitors work order progress & constraints to keep hardware flowing per schedule demands.
  • Coordinates tactical level tasks and issue resolution that may cross-cut multiple COE’s.
  • Coordinates the timely ordering / readiness of production support items such as tooling, fixtures, NC programming, to facilitate on-time starts.
  • Conducts resource load analysis & provides resource dispatch.
  • Coordinates final shipping requirements to ensure proper material control.
  • Executes Receipts, Kitting to support timely work order release / factory starts.
  • Manages material handling, material movement, & ERP system Move Orders.
  • Processes Shipping transactions; coordinates material shipments.
  • Conducts Cycle Counts, physical inventories, to include material reconciliation.
  • Validates flow of material to the floor, controls inventory.
  • Manages Site Organizational overhead budgets.
  • Ensures compliance to DFARS and MMAS business systems.
