About The Position

Moody’s is seeking a Director, Product Regulatory Strategy to lead regulatory acceptance of its Property Intelligence products across U.S. states. The role owns filing outcomes, regulator relationships, and a state-by-state filing roadmap, while advising product leadership on how emerging regulation should shape product requirements and the roadmap. The position is the primary technical voice to state regulators and a consultative partner to clients, product teams, sales, and client success. The director will develop an independent view of regulatory developments involving insurance underwriting, property data, aerial imagery, artificial intelligence, and predictive models, translating those developments into product recommendations before formal mandates exist. They will address carrier filing issues and regulator objections, prepare client-facing regulatory materials, lead presentations and state-by-state deep dives, and represent Moody’s in relevant National Association of Insurance Commissioners working groups and task forces. The role also includes setting consistent responses to regulator requests while protecting intellectual property, building relationships with state insurance department staff, reporting filing and client outcomes to leadership, and serving as the domain expert for regulatory intelligence tools and products. The director will lead and develop a regulatory product manager and direct external actuarial or regulatory partners. The CAPE Property Intelligence team delivers AI-powered property analytics to more than 80 leading North American property and casualty carriers. Its work helps insurers assess and price property risk, secure regulatory acceptance for Moody’s data in rating and underwriting, and shape regulatory evaluation of AI and imagery-derived insurance data. The position is full-time and eligible for incentive compensation. The anticipated U.S. base salary range is $183,300–$265,800, depending on factors including experience, education, level, skills, and location.
