About The Position

The DIRECTV Advertising team is responsible for supporting the strategic positioning of advertising products and solutions throughout the entire product lifecycle and customer experience. We develop go-to-market strategies, sales materials, and thought leadership to support the successful adoption of advertising products in market. We are looking for a talented, creative, driven, and eager individual to join our team! The Director of Product Marketing will be responsible for the success of DIRECTV Advertising’s digital and programmatic advertising solutions, across the entirety of DIRECTV’s CTV and digital video inventory. This person will play a key role in supporting pre, mid, and post launch marketing efforts and will help to maintain a successful digital narrative in market. They will work collaboratively and cross-functionally with the Product, Ad Sales, Partnerships, Analytics and Insights teams, and other key stakeholders to define DIRECTV Advertising’s digital capabilities, positioning, and advantage in market. Team building and problem-solving skills are critical, as is a thorough understanding of the digital and programmatic advertising and media industry.

Requirements

  • 5 – 7+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Marketing, or similar field.
  • Knowledge and understanding of digital media, OTT video, the CTV marketplace, and the programmatic advertising ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering against tight deadlines.
  • Top notch presentation and communication skills to be able to convey complex products in an easily understandable way.
  • Passion for the evolving advertising industry and keeping up with relevant news and innovations.
  • Proficiency within PowerPoint, Excel, and Word with a high level of aesthetic and organization.
  • Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced, multi-task necessary environment.
  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional environment to ensure work gets done efficiently.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with DSPs, SSPs, digital publishers or advanced ad formats is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional launch initiatives to drive internal and external readiness and successful adoption of new products and features.
  • Bring a deep understanding and point of view of the digital video industry, trends, competitive landscape, and work to create value propositions for DIRECTV Advertising’s digital suite.
  • Work with Product leadership and stakeholders in identifying and developing short and long-term strategy.
  • Synthesize product information into digestible foundational narratives delivering a clear and concise value proposition for advertisers.
  • Create and maintain compelling marketing materials including foundational product narratives, sales collateral, case studies, product training documents, and competitive analysis.
  • Collaborate with research in analyzing data and distilling insights around digital media products.
  • Lead training sessions to enhance the understanding of our solutions and improve the ability to sell these solutions effectively.
  • Partner with internal teams to develop thought leadership content and represent DIRECTV Advertising in industry forums focused on digital and programmatic innovation.
