About The Position

This is a New York City, NY, based position that works both in-office (2 days/week) and remotely. #LI-Remote The DIRECTV Advertising team is responsible for supporting the strategic positioning of advertising products and solutions throughout the entire product lifecycle and customer experience. We develop go-to-market strategies, sales materials, and thought leadership to support the successful adoption of advertising product(s) in market. We are looking for a talented, creative, driven, and eager individual to join our team! The Director of Product Marketing, Addressable TV & OOH, will be responsible for the success of DIRECTV addressable television and out-of-home (OOH/DOOH) advertising solutions, including the DIRECTV Remote network. This person will play a key role in supporting pre, mid, and post-launch marketing efforts and will help to maintain a compelling narrative around DIRECTV’s advanced advertising capabilities. They will work collaboratively and cross-functionally with the Product, Ad Sales, Partnerships, Analytics and Insights teams, and other key stakeholders to define DIRECTV Advertising’s addressable and OOH capabilities, positioning, and advantage in market. Team building and problem-solving skills are critical, as is a thorough understanding of the digital and programmatic advertising and media industry including ad tech partners and retail media networks.

Requirements

  • 5 – 7 years required, 7+ years desired experience in Product Marketing, Marketing, or similar field.
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring direct reports and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge and understanding of linear and CTV convergence, data, and the OOH/DOOH advertising ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering against tight deadlines.
  • Top-notch presentation and communication skills to be able to convey complex products in an easily understandable way.
  • Passion for the evolving advertising industry and keeping up with relevant news and innovations.
  • Proficiency within PowerPoint, Excel, and Word with a high level of aesthetic and organization.
  • Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced, multi-task necessary environment.
  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional environment to ensure work gets done efficiently.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with programmatic DOOH, data-driven solutions or data clean rooms is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional launch initiatives to drive internal and external readiness and successful adoption of new addressable and OOH advertising products and features.
  • Bring a deep understanding and point of view of the DOOH industry, trends, competitive landscape, and work to create value propositions for DIRECTV Advertising’s advanced advertising suite.
  • Define product positioning, value propositions, and key selling points for addressable TV and OOH/DOOH.
  • Synthesize product information into digestible foundational narratives delivering a clear and concise value proposition for advertisers.
  • Create and maintain compelling marketing materials including foundational product narratives, sales collateral, case studies, product training documents, and competitive analysis.
  • Collaborate with research in analyzing data and distilling insights around addressable and OOH media products.
  • Lead training sessions to enhance the understanding of our addressable and OOH solutions and improve the ability to sell these solutions effectively.
  • Partner with internal teams to develop thought leadership content focused advanced TV and omnichannel advertising.
