About The Position

Capital One is hiring a Director of Product Management to lead a product team spanning its Machine Learning and AI platforms. The role is responsible for capabilities that enable associates to train and serve models and develop Generative and Agentic AI applications for the business. The company seeks a technical product leader with a track record of building products and experiences for data scientists and software developers, expertise in AI/ML technologies, and familiarity with infrastructure and autonomous multi-agent systems for Generative AI development. The leader will set strategy and priorities grounded in technical understanding and user experience, and drive adoption of Generative AI, including Agentic AI.

The role defines the vision and strategy for Generative AI and ML platforms, evolves platform capabilities while maintaining a strong user experience, and works with adjacent platform leaders to support a cohesive enterprise platform ecosystem. It also focuses on unlocking business value and enabling real-time, intelligent customer experiences.

The position is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• At least 5 years of Product Management experience.
• Technical product leadership experience building products and experiences for data scientists and software developers.
• Domain expertise in AI/ML technologies for data scientists.
• Familiarity with emerging infrastructure and autonomous multi-agent systems for Generative AI application development.
• Ability to set strategy and priorities grounded in technical understanding and user experience.
• Ability to understand the needs of data scientists and engineers and drive Generative AI adoption.

Nice To Haves

• Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer-facing digital products.
• 7+ years of experience within a large, data-intensive, multi-line-of-business environment with significant complexity and scale.
• 3+ years of experience in people leadership.
• 5+ years of experience in innovative technology environments using public cloud and open-source technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, Spark, Ray, and LangChain.
• 3+ years of experience building business-critical AI and Machine Learning products.
• Experience in AI Risk Management.
• Prior experience as an engineer or data scientist.
• Several years of experience as a technical Product Manager and leader of a product management team.
