About The Position

As a Director, Product Management, you will play a critical role in delivering high-impact transformation initiatives across Global Product Creation by bringing Product, Engineering, Platform, and Business teams together to design and build solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes. Sitting at the intersection of business strategy, technology, and engineering, you will lead the development of product development capabilities and drive roadmap development, prioritization, dependency management, and execution discipline to maximize enterprise value and deliver a seamless, high-performance Tech Stack. In this capacity, you will define and drive the product group vision, roadmap, and investment business cases in direct alignment with Ford’s broader digital and industrial ecosystem goals. You will translate high-level strategy and business needs into clear product initiatives, partnering across product, engineering, platform, design, and business teams to own the end-to-end agile development, launch, adoption, and continuous improvement of product development capabilities, collaborating across Product, Engineering, Platform, Design, and Business teams to ensure quality execution, user adoption, and realization of intended business value. You will identify and navigate dependencies and integrations across a matrixed organization, driving end-to-end value stream optimization to maximize enterprise-wide value. You will identify business and engineering customer needs, product development capability gaps, and value opportunities through robust discovery, customer feedback, process insights, and telemetry; define success measures and use evidence to make high-impact, outcome-driven product decisions. You will establish KPIs, monitor system/product health, drive operational improvements, and lead incident response. You will cultivate strong relationships with senior executives and external partners, serving as the bridge to align technical delivery with commercial needs. You will mentor, build, and grow a collaborative, customer-centric team, setting clear objectives and fostering continuous innovation. You will oversee budgets and resource allocation, mitigate digital and enterprise risks, and integrate emerging technologies like AI to drive efficiency and modern capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading Agile teams, fostering a "fail-fast, learn-fast" culture, and guiding successful digital change management initiatives.
  • Demonstrated technical depth in product development processes, data, and toolchains, including Bill of Materials (BOM), product definition, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Computer-Aided Design (CAD), and Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE), with strong expertise in the Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) platform and its integration across the product development ecosystem.
  • 5+ years of Senior Product Management experience with skills that include the following:
  • Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills, with experience designing talent pipelines and succession plans for critical roles.
  • Decisive, articulate, and comfortable commanding a room; experienced in guiding executive discussions, building consensus, and distilling complex technical topics into actionable business decisions.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders, proactively resolving conflicts and driving alignment in politically charged or highly matrixed environments.
  • Strong financial management skills, including business case development, budget oversight, and value-driven portfolio prioritization.
  • Solid grasp of Human-Centered Design (HCD), user-experience metrics (e.g., SUS), and building systemic feedback loops to anticipate customer needs.
  • Proactive self-starter who defines agendas, anticipates problems 1–2 quarters out, makes sound decisions under high ambiguity, and course-corrects rapidly.
  • Strong results orientation, driving structured accountability and performance metrics across teams in a fast-paced environment.
