About The Position

Target Global Supply Chain and Logistics is evolving at an incredible pace. We are constantly reimagining how we get the right product to the guest even better, faster and more cost effectively than before. We are becoming more intelligent, automated and algorithmic in our decision-making, so that no matter how guests’ shop—in stores or on Target.com—we deliver the convenience and immediate gratification they demand and deserve. We are on a mission to win decisively over any competitor, with a seamless and superior guest service experience unlike any they can offer. Our teams work with the agility our mission requires, and we constantly come together to implement new processes in record time. So, we’re looking for exceptional people who are proactive, creative, independent, innovative, risk-savvy and comfortable working in varying degrees of ambiguity. Are you a critical thinker who seeks the root cause and can analyze both qualitatively and quantitatively? Are you a creative problem-solver who simplifies problems, quickly identifies solutions, commits to a plan and then positively influences others to execute it? If so, you will have success on one of our dynamic teams. Product Teams at Target Corporation are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that are easy to use, easily maintained and highly reliable. Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of all products, technology and design work. Target's Global Supply Chain & Logistics organization is modernizing the capabilities that move product through our warehouse network and out to stores, guests, carriers, and downstream partners. The Warehouse Management Outbound Capabilities portfolio owns the products that plan, execute, optimize, and monitor outbound work across warehouse operations. This product space includes outbound planning, work release and flow management, picking, packing, sortation, staging, trailer and load build, shipping, carrier and transportation handoff, exception management, and operational visibility. These capabilities intersect with inventory accuracy, warehouse execution, labor planning, automation, transportation logistics, store replenishment, online fulfillment, and end-to-end retail flow.

  • 10+ years of product management experience or equivalent domain experience, preferably in supply chain, warehouse management, logistics, fulfillment, transportation, enterprise platform modernization, or retail operations.
  • Proven experience owning product strategy, business outcomes, multi-year roadmaps, quarterly OKRs, and measurable delivery for complex, enterprise-scale technology products.
  • Experience leading product managers, product owners, or cross-functional product resources and building high-performing product teams.
  • Strong warehousing and warehouse execution experience, with understanding of outbound operations such as order/replenishment release, pick, pack, sort, stage, load, ship, dock and trailer management, store replenishment, guest fulfillment, and carrier handoff.
  • Understanding of how logistics, transportation, inventory, labor, automation, and order flow intersect with warehouse management and outbound execution.
  • Experience with WMS, WES, TMS, supply chain planning/execution platforms, SaaS or packaged platforms, custom-built applications, integration-heavy architectures, or large-scale modernization programs.
  • Expert at working in agile environments, including discovery, iterative development, user stories, prioritization, scrum teams, sprint planning, personas, acceptance criteria, and product demos.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in high trade-off or fixed timeline environments where modernization work must balance speed, operational readiness, adoption, and long-term product health.
  • Strong communication and influence skills, with the ability to align senior leaders, operations teams, technology teams, design partners, and cross-functional stakeholders around a clear product direction.
  • Strategic mindset and bias for action, with strong ability to define metrics, make data-informed decisions, manage ambiguity, and drive business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Translate warehouse operations needs into clear product capabilities across outbound planning, work release, pick, pack, sort, stage, load, ship, dock and trailer handoff, exception handling, and outbound visibility.
  • Define quarterly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), prioritize the shared product backlog, and ensure product teams deliver quarter-over-quarter progress against business outcomes.
  • Lead product discovery with warehouse operators, field leaders, support teams, stores, transportation partners, and enterprise stakeholders to validate problems, hypotheses, and solution concepts before committing engineering capacity.
  • Partner with Product Design and UX to create intuitive, efficient, and scalable experiences for warehouse team members, leaders, support teams, and operational partners.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of product managers, set clear expectations, manage product capacity, and build a culture of accountability, learning, transparency, and delivery excellence.
  • Partner with engineering, architecture, data, analytics, automation, and operations teams to modernize legacy capabilities and deliver scalable solutions across SaaS, custom-built applications, integrations, and warehouse execution platforms.
  • Make disciplined trade-off decisions across scope, schedule, operational readiness, risk, technical debt, and business value in a modernization environment with fixed timeline commitments.
  • Use data and analytics to assess product health, warehouse performance, adoption, operational reliability, cost, throughput, accuracy, and guest/store impact; communicate progress and recommendations to senior leaders.
