Director, Product Management - Content Lifecycle

The Nielsen CompanyRemote, Remote
$149,600 - $277,860

About The Position

PRISM is Nielsen's flagship content intelligence platform. It is redefining how studios, financiers, distributors, and leagues value, transact around, and invest in content globally. The Director, Content Lifecycle Product is the architect of PRISM's commercial intelligence engine for film, TV, and streaming. This is one of the most consequential product leadership roles in Nielsen's content division — responsible for building, from scratch, the platform layer that banks, private equity firms, major studios, and global distributors will use to make multi-million dollar funding and distribution decisions. This is not a feature roadmap role. It requires full architectural ownership of a B2B intelligence platform with direct integration into financial institutions' loan approval systems, studio rights databases, and proprietary greenlighting tools. The Director will define the predictive models, enterprise workflow integrations, and persona-specific UX governance that make PRISM the authoritative commercial intelligence layer for the content industry.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years in product management, with at least 4 years in a Director-level or equivalent role owning complex B2B platform products
  • Demonstrated experience building or scaling data intelligence platforms in content, media, entertainment, or adjacent industries (fintech, MarTech, or AdTech with media clients also considered)
  • Track record of direct enterprise client engagement at the VP/C-suite level, including ownership of commercial relationships and contract negotiations
  • Experience with financial services or enterprise workflow integration in compliance-sensitive environments strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding of content financing, distribution, and rights economics — familiarity with how studios, banks, and distributors evaluate content investments
  • Proficiency with predictive modeling concepts, statistical forecasting, and data architecture sufficient to evaluate model quality and make architectural tradeoffs
  • Experience with enterprise API integration strategy and data governance in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments
  • Demonstrated ability to architect from zero — greenfield product builds with no legacy infrastructure or established playbook
  • Operates with executive-level independence; does not require VP oversight for day-to-day architectural decisions
  • Credible, confident communicator with C-suite counterparts at studios, banks, and investment firms
  • Strong cross-functional leadership — able to align engineering, data science, design, and commercial teams around a shared roadmap

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with financial services or enterprise workflow integration in compliance-sensitive environments

Responsibilities

  • Architect PRISM's commercial intelligence engine for the film, TV, and streaming lifecycle — from development and financing through theatrical release, streaming distribution, and catalog monetization
  • Design and own proprietary ROI and Greenlight Simulation models that banks, studios, and financiers will use as the primary basis for multi-million dollar funding decisions
  • Build the composite market view architecture, unifying social sentiment, theatrical performance, and streaming consumption data into a single authoritative content valuation model
  • Own the enterprise workflow integration strategy across financial institutions, major studios, and distributors — including mandatory embedding into underwriting software, rights management systems, and greenlighting tools
  • Define API architecture and integration standards for institutional partners, with full accountability for compliance, data governance, and security requirements in high-stakes financial contexts
  • Drive systemic integration depth: volume and quality of proprietary API integrations across institutional systems is a primary performance metric
  • Lead governed, persona-specific interface design across distinct stakeholder groups: High-Fidelity Risk View for bank compliance committees, Creative Performance View for studio development teams, and Distribution Intelligence View for global distributors
  • Establish UX standards and design governance for the content lifecycle module, ensuring interface consistency and data fidelity across all user personas
  • Represent PRISM at the C-suite level with studio, banking, and investment firm clients — credibility and authority in these relationships is a commercial prerequisite for enterprise retention
  • Partner with Sales and Account Management on enterprise contract negotiations, renewal strategy, and platform expansion within key accounts
  • Own the full product roadmap for the content lifecycle module, setting priorities and tradeoffs across engineering, data science, design, and go-to-market teams
  • Operate with independence — making architectural decisions, managing stakeholder expectations, and resolving cross-functional conflicts without VP escalation for routine matters
