This role will develop, evangelize and execute the connectivity-led experiences strategy for the Chamberlain Group product portfolio, aligned to our broader business objectives — driving profitable growth for Core Products by building deeper affinity with channel partners and increasing attach of service-revenue-generating products to consumers. The Director will shape what “connected” means for Chamberlain, including principles, platform decisions, partnership posture, and experience standards. They will make ease of use measurable by defining and instrumenting metrics to assess if releases simplify the experience for consumers, technicians, dealers, and distributors. This role owns the end-to-end product surface, encompassing hardware design choices, cloud platform capabilities, dealer and technician tools, and services, bringing them together as one cohesive experience. A 3-year vision for the role of connectivity across the portfolio and the broader myQ ecosystem will be set. The Director will engage regularly with homeowners, dealers, technicians, and distributors through various channels to translate learnings into clear product priorities. They will partner with sales and channel leadership to design dealer programs, training, tooling, and merchandising to facilitate profitable sales, installation, and servicing of the connected portfolio. This role will lead and grow a team of Product Managers, setting high standards for product rigor, customer obsession, and cross-functional discipline. They will run roadmap governance across multiple workstreams, overseeing backlog prioritization, release sequencing, and stage-gate decisions for hardware, firmware, cloud, and app. Driving cross-functional alignment across Engineering, Product Design, Sales, Channel, Marketing, Customer Care, Supply Chain, and Operations is crucial. The Director will advise senior leaders on adjacent moves such as M&A, licensing, and ecosystem partnerships to accelerate the strategy. External representation with major channel partners, OEM partners, industry associations, and trade press is also a key responsibility. Compliance with health and safety guidelines, protecting company reputation through confidentiality, and maintaining professional knowledge are expected. Contributions to team efforts and project accomplishment are also part of the role.
