About The Position

The Director of AI Product Management will define and lead the product strategy for IHG’s AI platform — shaping how AI capabilities are conceived, prioritized, and delivered across one of the world’s leading hotel groups. You will serve as the connective tissue between business ambition and AI reality, translating complex technology possibilities into a coherent, outcomes-driven product vision that the entire organization can rally around. You will build and lead a product function designed for the AI-native era: one that moves at the speed of emerging technology, keeps humans at the center of every solution, and relentlessly asks what value is being created — for guests, for owners, and for the business. As a peer to the Head of Strategic AI Solutions Delivery, you will work hand-in-hand with delivery, engineering, and business domain leaders to ensure the AI product roadmap is not only visionary but executable — grounded in deep operational knowledge and commercial reality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Information Technology, User Experience, Business, Computer Science, or a related field — or equivalent experience that demonstrates the same depth.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience, including 5+ years leading teams of Product Managers across complex, multi-stakeholder technology environments. You’ve built product organizations, not just managed backlogs. You have a track record of driving meaningful business outcomes through product strategy.
  • Proven understanding of how AI and ML products are built, deployed, and optimized. Conversant in LLMs, generative AI, agentic architectures, and data-driven product design.
  • Human-Centered AI Product Thinking: Design products that put people first — whether the user is a hotel guest, a revenue manager, or a front-desk colleague.
  • Deep fluency in Agile product development methodologies. Demonstrated experience translating strategy into well-structured product backlogs, functional specifications, and delivery-ready requirements in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
  • Conviction in Embedded Partnership Model: Understand that the best product managers are close to the problem, not behind a process. Have operated — or have a clear, credible conviction around — embedded product models where your team co-owns outcomes alongside business and engineering partners.
  • Strategic and Commercial Acumen: See product opportunities before they become obvious. Can translate AI product capability into ROI narratives that resonate in the boardroom, the business unit, and with hotel operations teams simultaneously.
  • Skilled at navigating complex, matrixed organizations. Build trust across Global Commercial, Technology, and Operations stakeholders — and know how to move the organization toward alignment even when priorities compete.
  • Comfortable operating across geographies, time zones, and organizational cultures. Experience working with offshore delivery partners and managing cross-regional product portfolios.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the AI product strategy and roadmap —a portfolio spanning AI initiatives for guest services, loyalty, revenue management, corporate functions, and global operations — ensuring alignment to enterprise transformation priorities and measurable business outcomes.
  • Define the product lifecycle for AI solutions — from strategic opportunity identification and use-case prioritization through to requirements definition, UAT, launch readiness, and continuous post-deployment optimization.
  • Bridge business and technology by translating complex domain needs and commercial objectives into clear, actionable product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that enable engineering and AI delivery teams to move with confidence.
  • Own the stakeholder ecosystem — building and maintaining executive-level relationships across Commercial, Operations, Loyalty, Revenue Management, Corporate, and Technology functions. Ensure AI product investments are understood, championed, and adopted across the organization.
  • Drive dynamic prioritization across a complex portfolio of parallel initiatives, maintaining clarity on what matters most and ensuring product capacity is allocated in lockstep with delivery team resourcing.
  • Shape the Human + AI product experience — ensuring that every AI product decision keeps human experience — for guests, colleagues, and operators — at the center of design thinking.
  • Stay at the frontier of AI product capability — continuously evaluating emerging platforms, agentic patterns, and industry best practices. Bring the outside in, and keep the organization’s product thinking ahead of the market.
