About The Position

This is a pivotal leadership role within Symcor’s Product team, focused on scaling and evolving our omnichannel Customer Communications Experience (CCX) business. As Director, Product, you will lead and align teams around a clear product vision, prioritize impactful initiatives, and scale product-led growth strategies. You will lead a developing Product Management team, bringing clarity to product direction, strengthening execution discipline, and developing a team of Product Management professionals. This role requires a leader who can balance strategy with hands-on product leadership, someone who can guide teams through complex problem solving while ensuring strong alignment with technology partners and business stakeholders. You will oversee all aspects of the product life cycle and make resource allocation decisions to drive long-term growth and achieve near-term objectives for Symcor. This is an exciting moment in Symcor’s evolution. You will have the opportunity to build and expand innovative Customer Communications solutions that meaningfully contribute to growth, unlock new digital solutions revenue streams, and strengthen our market position within Financial Services and regulated verticals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management, with a strong track record of leading technology-enabled products and driving business growth.
  • Experience operating within Customer Communications, Digital Services, or adjacent domains, with a clear understanding of how technology enables business communication solutions within Financial Services or Insurance.
  • Strong experience working with technology teams and delivering technical products, with the ability to effectively communicate with engineering and IT stakeholders.
  • Experience leading and developing product teams, particularly in environments where processes and capabilities are still evolving.
  • Deep understanding of financial services business processes (e.g., lending, onboarding, servicing, or document workflows) and how they translate into scalable product opportunities.
  • Demonstrated success in driving product strategy that contributes to revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Strong product leadership with the ability to define vision and execute through teams.
  • Technical acumen with experience delivering technology-based products and working closely with engineering teams.
  • Commercial mindset with a focus on growth, revenue generation, and market impact.
  • Ability to translate complex business processes into scalable product solutions.
  • Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies, including positioning and pricing.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technology teams.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and elevate a product team’s capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of financial services, particularly banking or insurance ecosystems.
  • Experience with P&L ownership and investment prioritization.

  • An MBA or advanced degree in a technical or business discipline is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and drive the product strategy for CCX in partnership with the VP, Product, with a strong focus on growth, innovation, and commercial outcomes.
  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle across a portfolio of technology-enabled solutions, from concept through development, launch, and ongoing optimization, ensuring products deliver measurable business and client value.
  • Translate market opportunities, client needs, and industry trends into a clear product roadmap that emphasizes scalable digital solutions within the Customer Communications space.
  • Partner closely with Technology teams to define, develop, and deploy technical product solutions, ensuring alignment between product vision and technical execution.
  • Strengthen Product Management practices within the team by coaching and developing team members, establishing clear priorities, and creating accountability for delivery against business objectives.
  • Identify and drive revenue growth opportunities, including new product development, enhancements to existing offerings, and expansion into adjacent use cases within financial services and insurance.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Client teams to support go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and client adoption, ensuring a strong link between product strategy and commercial outcomes.
  • Establish clear governance, success metrics, and performance tracking to evaluate product effectiveness, adoption, and financial contribution.
  • Manage budgets and resource allocation to ensure investment decisions align with strategic priorities and expected returns.
