About The Position

iRhythm is seeking an experienced Director, Procurement to scale the procurement function (Direct and Indirect) to support business growth. This role involves implementing best practices, driving savings and operational improvements, and acting as a strategic business partner to functional leaders. The Director will also develop risk management strategies, oversee the indirect purchasing team, develop inventory planning models, and lead and mentor the Procurement team. The work environment is fast-paced and collaborative, with a focus on delivering innovations that improve healthcare quality and patient experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 10 years of experience in procurement operations and strategic sourcing
  • Medical Device, Pharma, or Biotech experience (7+ years)
  • Thorough understanding of ISO 13485 and FDA regulations.
  • Prior experience in developing and implementing category strategies and sourcing efforts for indirect procurement areas such as IT, capex, marketing, facilities, and services required.
  • Effective communicator with ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills, and the ability to drive effective analysis and process steps toward transformations and or landing key projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge on contract commercial terms and ability to lead supply agreement negotiations independently.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and juggle shifting priorities and tight timelines.

  • Prior experience in contributing to automation and / or process improvement in the P2P process of a rapidly growing company preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and scale the procurement function (Direct and Indirect) to support the rapid growth of the business, in a manner that maximizes contribution to the achievement of business objectives, profitability and return on investment.
  • Implement best practices from standard category management, and innovative approaches, to identify and execute opportunities to drive cross-company savings and operational improvements in category management.
  • Work as a strategic business partner to develop and prioritize procurement change programs and projects to enable delivery of short- and long-term objectives.
  • Work with other functional leaders across finance, IT and manufacturing to drive short- and long-term improvements in the P2P process, including automation, selective outsourcing and/or leveraging strategic alliances to maximize ROI.
  • Develop risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee the indirect purchasing team to ensure superior customer service offered to internal users on purchasing requests.
  • Develop standard inventory planning model, achieve and maintain inventory targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high performing Procurement team to support manufacturing and corporate goals.
  • Develop relationship with key suppliers and manage supplier performances.
