About The Position

Fanatics is building a leading global digital sports platform. Together, we are reimagining every part of the collectibles experience for fans, partners, and creators. Summary: This role is not about maintaining a procurement function—it’s about building one. If you’re someone who has built in imperfect environments and enjoys turning ambiguity into structure, this role is designed for you. As Director of Procurement, you will transform a traditional buying organization into a strategic sourcing function that supports rapid growth, product innovation, and increasing supply chain complexity. You’ll bring structure to ambiguity, build visibility across systems and suppliers, and lead a team through meaningful change. Role is based in Dallas, TX.

Requirements

  • Proven experience building or transforming procurement functions, not just optimizing mature ones
  • Experience operating in high-growth or ambiguous environments
  • Experience leading a strategic sourcing team through growth and change
  • Experience collaborating with executive management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven negotiation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Advanced level Excel skills are a must
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to effectively train others
  • Bachelors degree in related field required
  • At least 10 years of applicable experience with 5 years in a leadership role

Responsibilities

  • Develop supplier management processes and commodity sourcing strategies aligned with business needs targeting cost savings, risk management, material specs/quality, and process & governance with a team of category managers, buyers and clerks
  • Acts as the company’s representative in negotiations with suppliers
  • Partner with Legal to develop supplier contracts and revise purchase order terms and conditions
  • Ensure compliance with contracts, policies, and all other requirements
  • Ensure the the team accurately prepares and processes purchase orders for materials, supplies, and equipment on-time
  • Build out and coach the procurement team – ensuring the category leads are able to act as owners of their categories and are collaborating to drive improvements
  • Partner with other departments to identify and develop implementation plans for new materials
  • Standardize and manage instructions, policies, and procedures for purchasing and contract management
  • Ensure data accuracy within ERP or procurement systems/dashboards
  • Build visibility across inventory, suppliers, and POs
  • Establish KPIs and operating cadence
  • Shift team from reactive → proactive sourcing
