About The Position

Nscale is seeking a Director, Process Optimization to establish and lead the process design, standardization, and continuous improvement function within the Business Operations organization. This role is crucial for setting the operating standard for how Nscale designs, documents, measures, and enhances critical internal and external processes. The Director will build frameworks to improve collaboration, clarity, speed, and accountability across various teams including site operations, construction, procurement, legal, recruitment, supply chain, manufacturing, and commissioning. The position involves transforming complex, fast-paced operational workflows into scalable playbooks, clear ownership models, measurable KPIs, and repeatable processes to support Nscale's expansion into new sites and geographies.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in process excellence, operations management, business operations, operational transformation, or continuous improvement.
  • Proven experience building SOPs, operational playbooks, governance models, or process frameworks in complex, multi-site environments.
  • Experience in infrastructure, construction, datacenter, manufacturing, critical facilities, cloud infrastructure, industrial operations, or similarly complex operational environments.
  • Understanding of Lean and continuous improvement principles and their pragmatic application for measurable business outcomes.
  • Ability to operate effectively across technical and non-technical teams, translating ambiguity into clear workflows, ownership, and execution plans.
  • Experience designing cross-functional operating models involving teams such as Legal, Procurement, Recruitment, Supply Chain, Operations, Construction, or Manufacturing.
  • Comfort using operational tooling such as Jira, ServiceNow, or equivalent workflow and reporting platforms.
  • Ability to balance strategic process design with hands-on execution in a high-growth environment with rapidly scaling systems and teams.
  • Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, prioritizing, and developing process talent, as well as influencing senior stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in datacenter delivery, commissioning, modular infrastructure, critical infrastructure, or large-scale capital programs.
  • Experience building KPI dashboards, SLA reporting, business performance reporting, or operational scorecards.
  • Exposure to manufacturing-to-site handoffs, quality control reporting, inventory readiness, or field operations coordination.
  • Lean Six Sigma, PMP, Prince2, Agile, or similar certifications, supported by practical delivery experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and govern SOPs for site operations, service operations, construction-to-operations handoffs, safety compliance, and cross-functional business operations workflows.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce operational friction, rework, delivery delays, and process ambiguity across active sites and programs.
  • Conduct operational audits across live programs, identify process gaps, and collaborate with accountable teams to drive practical remediation.
  • Build standardized operational playbooks replicable across new geographies, sites, and partner environments.
  • Manage the operational interface between Power Mod manufacturing and datacenter site operations, ensuring alignment of production schedules, inventory readiness, and commissioning timelines.
  • Integrate quality control metrics from the manufacturing floor into business reporting for enhanced visibility into risks, trends, and operational performance.
  • Design and implement engagement frameworks for Business Operations' collaboration with Legal, Procurement, Recruitment, Supply Chain, and other partner functions.
  • Establish clear intake, execution, tracking, closure, and SLA processes for cross-functional requests and projects.
  • Design and maintain an internal KPI framework to measure adjacent team responsiveness, SLA adherence, and process performance across key operational workflows.
  • Partner with Strategic Project Management and other operational leaders to enhance internal coordination and ensure consistent adoption of process standards.
  • Manage and develop a Senior Process Manager, setting clear priorities, expectations, and operating rhythms for the process optimization function.
