Director, Power Infrastructure

About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Director to lead strategic sourcing and procurement activities for our Land and Power team, with a strong emphasis on substation infrastructure, EPC projects, and behind-the-meter power generation. This role will ensure cost-effective, timely, and compliant procurement of goods and services critical to our power delivery and land development initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
10+ years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in energy infrastructure, EPC projects, or substation projects.
Proven track record in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
Strong knowledge of power systems, substations, EPC delivery models, and behind-the0beter generation technologies.
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards in the energy sector.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with ERP systems and procurement software.
Understanding of renewable energy projects, distribution generation, and grid integration.
Ability to manage complex, multi-million-dollar procurement portfolios.

Responsibilities

Strategic Procurement Leadership: Develop and execute procurement strategies for substation equipment, transmission infrastructure, EPC contracts, and distributed energy resources (DER) behind the meter.
Drive supplier negotiations to achieve optimal pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
Vendor & Contract Management: Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers specializing in substation systems, EPC services, and on-site generation technologies (solar, battery storage, CHP).
Oversee contract drafting, compliance, and risk mitigation for high-value agreements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, project management, and land acquisition teams to align procurement plans with project timelines.
Support budgeting and forecasting for procurement spend.
Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and company policies.
Monitor market trends and supply chain risks in the energy sector.
Performance Optimization: Implement KPIs for supplier performance and procurement efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes.
