Director, Portfolio Management

TIAACharlotte, NC
$139,000 - $188,000Onsite

About The Position

TIAA is looking for a Director, Portfolio Management, to join our D&CX team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for building, operating, and continuously improving our portfolio management capabilities across an ecosystem at varying levels of maturity. Some areas need refinement; others need to be built from scratch. The Director operates with a high degree of independence and ownership given a problem or desired outcome, they determine the approach and personally drive it to completion, developing analysis, building solutions, writing requirements, and establishing the routines needed to sustain the work. This happens in close partnership with stakeholders, incorporating others' input and shaping solutions with broader buy-in rather than working in isolation. Beyond execution, this role is expected to surface insights that inform and guide decisions and strategy for D&CX. Success means becoming a trusted partner that stakeholders and the Portfolio Office leader actively want to work with and bring problems too, confident that issues will be resolved and outcomes will move forward. Over time, this results in more mature processes, more reliable insights, and better-supported leadership conversations.
