The Director of Physical Sales is responsible for leading the sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets across retail, B2B, and e-commerce channels. This role requires a strong leader to forecast revenue, service clients, and oversee the Sales, E-Commerce, and Customer Service teams

Requirements

  • Post Secondary Degree in Business or equivalent sales and managerial experience and business acumen
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years’ experience in music distribution preferred
  • Strong problem-solving ability, including metrics-driven thinking
  • Team player committed to delivering results in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to oversee simultaneous campaigns and remain calm under pressure

Responsibilities

  • Drive the end-to-end sales process to exceed monthly and annual revenue targets across retail, B2B, and e-commerce channels.
  • Optimize sales volume, product mix, and pricing based on market trends and economic indicators.
  • Create, negotiate and launch retail marketing campaigns and ensure prime exposure and revenue generation
  • Create and communicate New Releases, change of distribution notices, price changes, sales campaigns, and deletion notices
  • Take an active role with vendor managed inventory control to maximize sales and limit risk
  • Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with customers to understand their needs, build bespoke retail marketing campaigns, secure preferred product placement, and seek new opportunities to expand distribution.
  • Cross-Functional Execution: Liaise with Marketing to manage trade spend, Operations for inventory needs, and Finance to maximize profitability and mitigate credit risk.
  • Effectively communicate new releases, sales campaigns, and price changes to all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and manage the Sales, E-Commerce, and Customer Service teams to develop effective sales strategies, ensure efficient operations, and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction
