About The Position

The Director - Pharma Meetings, Account and Operations role supports Life Sciences clients in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment where operational excellence, compliance, and strong client partnership all matter. You’ll guide both account strategy and North America pharmaceutical Meetings & Events operations, helping shape smarter processes, stronger stakeholder engagement, and measurable business results. This role requires balancing big-picture thinking with day-to-day execution.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in a previous management role, managing a team / direct reports, within the pharmaceutical meetings & events space.
  • Experience leading teams with clarity, accountability, and a strong coaching mindset in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience building trusted client relationships and navigating complex stakeholder dynamics with professionalism and confidence.
  • Experience driving operational excellence, improving end-to-end logistics processes, and creating scalable ways of working.
  • Experience using financial, service, and performance data to spot opportunities, manage risk, and improve program results.
  • Experience working in the Life Sciences space, including supporting compliance-focused programs, regulated processes, and Pharma account needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing strategic meetings programs and expanding programs across business units or regions.
  • Strong knowledge of meetings technology, including Cvent, and how to use it to improve delivery and client experience.
  • A background in contract governance, quarterly business reviews, and service-level management.
  • Comfort presenting insights and recommendations to senior client stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Experience introducing innovative solutions, change management efforts, and new technologies in a client-facing setting.
