About The Position

The Director - Pelvic Health Society & Physician Relations is a strategic leader responsible for developing and executing physician, faculty, fellowship, and professional society engagement strategies that advance Medtronic's Pelvic Health priorities. This role translates business objectives into impactful physician partnerships that support innovation, therapy awareness, and patient access across the Pelvic Health market. The Director builds and manages relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), physician faculty, emerging clinical leaders, fellowship directors, professional societies, academic institutions, and other key stakeholders. This leader leverages deep knowledge of the physician and professional society landscape to identify partnerships and programs that influence physician education, clinical practice, patient identification, treatment pathways, and access to care. A key responsibility is developing a sustainable physician leadership pipeline by engaging established and emerging KOLs, fellowship programs, and academic leaders to cultivate the next generation of Pelvic Health physicians. The Director leads a team focused on resident and fellow engagement, society partnerships, and KOL/faculty management, setting strategy, priorities, and execution for high-visibility initiatives. This remote role supports Medtronic’s patient-first mission through cross-functional collaboration and requires up to 50% -60% travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of people or program managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of people or program managerial experience.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

  • Experience supporting new therapy introduction, market development, or significant changes in clinical practice.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare compliance requirements governing physician and professional society engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall Pelvic Health physician, KOL, faculty, fellowship, and professional society engagement strategy aligned with key business, therapy, and patient-access priorities.
  • Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with established and emerging KOLs and physician leaders across relevant Pelvic Health specialties.
  • Lead faculty strategy, including the identification, development, engagement, and appropriate deployment of physician faculty across priority educational and strategic initiatives.
  • Build strategic relationships with priority professional societies and develop partnership plans that advance physician education, disease awareness, clinical practice, patient advocacy and access, and appropriate treatment.
  • Develop relationships with fellowship program directors and academic institutions to support the growth of a sustainable pipeline of future clinical leaders.
  • Identify and develop innovative partnerships and programs with physicians, societies, academic institutions, and other stakeholders that support Pelvic Health strategic priorities and help expand patient access to therapy.
  • Lead complex partnership discussions and negotiations, aligning internal and external stakeholders around shared objectives and meaningful outcomes.
  • Partner across Medical Education, Marketing, Commercial, Clinical, Medical Affairs, Health Economics/Reimbursement, Legal, Compliance, and other functions to translate strategy into executable programs and initiatives.
  • Provide Pelvic Health leadership with insights into the evolving physician, society, academic, and competitive landscape, identifying emerging opportunities, needs, and potential risks.
  • Establish priorities and measures of success for physician engagement and strategic partnerships, evaluating impact and continuously refining investments and programs.
  • Ensure physician and society engagements are conducted in accordance with Medtronic policies, applicable regulations, and Legal and Compliance requirements.
  • Ability to travel up to 50-60% of time.
