About The Position

Shield HealthCare is looking for a Director, Payor Solutions & Market Access responsible for developing relationships with key health plan executives, leveraging Shield’s strategic value to grow and protect revenue and profitability. This will be accomplished by penetrating existing payor accounts, expanding new market and payor contract access, helping to create and sell differentiated value, and engaging in thoughtful and strategic negotiations to improve and protect profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required
  • 10+ years of related healthcare experience and payor sales
  • Knowledgeable on healthcare and payor trends

Responsibilities

  • Develop payor relationships with strategic stakeholders
  • Sells value proposition to payors creating more preferred or exclusive partnerships
  • Work with sales teams to identify opportunities with new and existing payors
  • Has an enterprise view of the organization, medical supply distribution, billing, and operations
  • Negotiate profitable agreements
  • Create and sell differentiated payor facing programs
  • Develop and maintain qualified sales pipeline and progress with identified payor targets
  • Assists ISR and field teams with health plan presentations and in-services
  • Leverages available business tools and reporting to uncover and act on business trends
  • Stay abreast of competition and associated value
  • Supports Senior Director Payor Solutions & Market Access in strategic qualification and acquisition of suitable DME targets
