The Director of Payment Model Technical Assistance will guide technical assistance efforts, overseeing the development of high quality materials that build participant understanding of model requirements and equip them to succeed under value based payment approaches. Working collaboratively with senior leaders and cross functional teams across the organization, the Director will deliver exceptional client service, produce high quality, timely deliverables, and drive innovation across the market. From a growth and relationship perspective, the Director will support new business development by strengthening client relationships, contributing to proposal efforts, and expanding the firm’s portfolio of work. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant health policy industry experience in healthcare consulting, program implementation, quality improvement, evaluation, and/or policy expertise
  • 4+ years of experience working on value-based care payment initiatives and leading technical assistance activities
  • Experience in cross contractor coordination, managing subcontractors, and leading cross-functional project teams
  • Experience supporting business development efforts, including identifying opportunities, shaping capture strategies, contributing to proposal development, and building client relationships in support of organizational growth
  • Broad understanding of federal health policy issues, with ability to work in multiple areas serving as a subject matter expert
  • Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex findings to non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

  • Engage, develop, and sustain client relationships through policy consultation, strategic guidance, and thought leadership
  • Direct and oversee development of technical assistance materials that translate model requirements into actionable guidance for participants, including webinars, virtual office hours, written guidance, toolkits, FAQs, and other learning resources
  • Oversee analyses to monitor performance and continuously improve operational activities
  • Mentor and develop staff to strengthen technical, analytical, and problem solving capabilities
  • Ensure consistently high standards of accuracy, quality control, and attention to detail across all deliverables
  • Collaborate effectively as a senior member of multidisciplinary project teams
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with clients, partners, and subcontractors
  • Lead business development and growth activities, including capture and proposal response
