Director, Patient Financial Services
About The Position
The Patient Financial Services (PFS) Director is responsible and accountable for the strategic planning, leadership and ongoing continuous quality and process improvement of Patient Financial Services for UNLV Medicine. This position will provide direct oversight and ensure optimal coordination of the following components: accounts receivable management, coding, billing, collections, denials management and vendor management. The PFS Director will ensure that the capture, coding, billing and collection of practice revenue is accurate, efficient, within all compliance guidelines and timely. The PFS Director will ensure payor contracts and payor reimbursements are optimized.
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Minimum 5 years healthcare management experience.
- Three years of experience in the related area for the position.
- Coding certification required (CPC, CCS).
- Above Average Verbal skills.
- Above Average Writing/Composing skills.
- Above Average Correspondence/Reports skills.
- Above Average Analytical skills.
- Above Average Design skills.
- Proficiency in Medical Terminology.
- Proficiency in MS Word.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.

Responsibilities
