Job Overview The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is seeking a creative, self-motivated and knowledgeable individual with research and analytical skills as well as developed communications and interpersonal skills to lead it’s portfolio of Energy Planning & Policy, Policy Analysis, and Energy Markets as either a Director or Sr. Director . This position will report to the Senior Vice President of Policy, Analysis & Research. Policy, Analysis & Research assists New York State energy policy decision-makers by (1) identifying and evaluating policy alternatives for addressing vital public needs; (2) quantitatively assessing the impact of energy, environmental and economic policies and programs on the State’s citizens, businesses and environment; (3) supporting energy assurance and emergency response activities as well as providing energy market and system operations intelligence across all fuels and sectors supporting the New York State economy and (4) helping foster informed energy planning through the quantitative and qualitative analysis of energy issues and policies.
