About The Position

This management position is responsible for the operations for the WH in Tracy, CA with responsibility for 120+ employees. Manages the education and training programs relating to safety and risk for all employees. @HYVE Solutions, missions to help customers, business partners, and employees achieve success through shared goals, strategies, resources and technology solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Logistics, Supply Chain or related discipline with a minimum of 8 -10 years of related WH management expertise or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Warehouse procedures, forklift training, licensing, hazardous materials, worker’s compensation, disaster recovery, evacuation, and materials handling
  • Worker’s compensation
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of related operations/warehouse experience
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of people management experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with shipping, receiving and inventory control processes and procedures
  • Demonstrated business communications skills, including negotiations and presentations skills
  • Familiarity with and ability to use Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to travel throughout the US (25%)
  • Current driver’s license and the ability to maintain a clean driving record
  • Demonstrated proficiencies and skills with developing, implementing and executing policies and procedures relating to WH Operations
  • Business communications, contracts management and negotiations skills
  • Demonstrated skills in influencing and persuading employees at all levels on a cross-functional basis
  • Demonstrated skills in managing concurrent projects within specified timeframes
  • Distribution/warehouse/operations expertise
  • Shipping, receiving and inventory control processes and procedures
  • Strategic, operational and tactical planning skills

  • Required to make informed decisions that affect department operations resulting in negative or positive impact to the company, vendors and customers.
  • Manages labor, materials and overhead cost control (i.e. traces losses, solves discrepancy problems, meeting daily shipping schedule, assures inventory control)
  • Manages schedules and On-time performance (i.e. meeting daily shipping schedule, maintains high level of “on-time delivery” performance
  • Prepares management reports

Responsibilities

  • Operations Management for the region Including, but not limited to: Facility management, Supply requisition, Employee hiring, firing, training and record-keeping, Preparing, writing and conducting employee performance reviews and recommending appropriate merit increases, Participating in developing, modifying and executing company policies and procedures, Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Control
  • Manages various business goals including, but not limited to: Labor Rate Goal as a percentage of sales, Productivity Goals, Receiving and Put-away Specification Goals, High Velocity Bins Replenishment, Shipping Specification Goals, Shipping Accuracy (Shipping errors), Inventory Accuracy (Ghost Inventory, Cycle adjustments, etc.), Safety and department security
  • Resource and budget planning
  • Labor, materials and overhead cost control (i.e. traces losses, solves discrepancy problems, meeting daily shipping schedule, assures inventory control)
  • Schedules and On-time performance (i.e. meeting daily shipping schedule, maintains high level of “on-time delivery” performance
  • Guiding and advising the senior leadership team
  • Actively participate in industry organizations and represent the company in their meetings
  • Represents and functions as a liaison to attorneys, governmental regulatory agencies, insurance companies and individuals, investigating any incidences that may result in asset, property or human loss
  • Meets and works with the company’s executive management team and make presentations
  • Point of contact for emergency personnel
  • Utilizes organizational, planning and management skills (70%)
  • Utilizes personal computer (20%)
  • Numbers and detail oriented (10%)
