About The Position

Identifies and manages risks that could adversely affect business operations. Directs and provides leadership for executing a maintenance reliability program, improving asset reliability as well as the reliability of work processes and procedures to ensure universal adherence to best practices. Serves as a steward of the assigned facilities assets to ensure budgeted capacity and provide direction and support across multiple facilities. Oversees the development of proper preventative and predictive activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Reliability Engineer
  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years relevant work experience
  • CMRP (Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional)

Nice To Haves

  • Food manufacturing preferred with specialty in maintenance and reliability
  • Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Manage maintenance programs consisting of Preventative Maintenance, System Analytics and Efficacy Tracking
  • Establish suite of Maintenance & Reliability KPIs including structure of accountability to all levels of maintenance team members.
  • Enable capital projects and technology initiatives including establishment of Preventative Maintenance Executional Strategy to meet the productivity designed and maintained.
  • Conduct quarterly maintenance systems health evaluations, along with corrective action development and progress monitoring systems for complete system alignment.
  • Analyze current maintenance and reliability programs redesign as needed and execute the action plans
  • Develop, execute and maintain training, skills assessments and on-site skills development for team members.
  • Work collaboratively with the corporate reliability team to maintain and promote success of overreaching maintenance systems.
  • Participates as a member of the Team. Participates in the ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members. Attends appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues; e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.
  • Simmons Operating systems principles and objectives: Is familiar with Simmons’ established operating systems (e.g., quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position’s role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.
