About The Position

The Global Commercial Analytics (GCA) team at Pfizer harnesses data to provide robust analytical insights for critical business questions. Within Oncology, the Performance Analytics & Insights (PAI) team translates complex secondary data (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony, specialty pharmacy) into commercial strategy, connecting data insights to business actions. This role operates at the intersection of brand strategy, patient access, and business performance, directly influencing how Pfizer's oncology portfolio reaches patients. The position involves partnering with senior business stakeholders to direct performance tracking and reporting for oncology brands/franchises, covering brand demand, market share, patient segments, and subnational performance. A key responsibility is leading efforts to standardize methodology and reporting practices across the Oncology PAI portfolio. This dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative role requires proactive thought leadership, deep oncology fluency, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly and actionably.

Requirements

  • 8+ years' experience in biopharma, analytics, strategic consulting, business, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Analytics, statistics, and/or database knowledge and experience using relevant tools, applications, and platforms.
  • Prior experience supporting an oncology brand or franchise in a pharma commercial analytics or insights role preferred, with working knowledge of the relevant treatment landscape and competitive dynamics.
  • Demonstrated success in a highly fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to identify new issues, trends, and opportunities from data.
  • Ability to influence without authority, setting business direction, priorities, and action plans.
  • Demonstrated analytical capabilities and critical thinking skills.

  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities, including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers and guide the work of vendors to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
  • Strong analytical and coding skills (SQL, Python, or R) for querying, manipulating, and automating analytics on large datasets; experience in Snowflake or a comparable cloud data environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar) and the ability to direct the design of clean, decision-oriented dashboards.
  • Extensive experience in the design and management of secondary data analytics, including direct experience with IQVIA, Symphony Health, or specialty pharmacy data.
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize and validate various inputs and communicate the story to commercial leadership.
  • Recognized expertise and coach to others on connecting, integrating, and synthesizing analysis into a meaningful “so what” that drives clear strategic recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing vendor relationships and ensuring quality in deliverables.
  • Proven ability to act as a strategic partner who can quickly establish relationships of trust and credibility with senior leadership.
  • Ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple demands, deal with ambiguity, and lead teams through complex, cross-functional projects in a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategic direction of performance reporting for assigned oncology brands or franchises, including brand sales, TRx/NPS, market share, and attainment vs. targets, across weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadences.
  • Direct the use of secondary data sources to identify trends, surface risks and opportunities, and connect data signals to brand strategy decisions.
  • Guide analysis through the lens of defined patient segments (e.g., demographics, lines of therapy, treatment setting, prior treatment history) to explain market dynamics, prescribing behavior, and patient flow.
  • Oversee subnational analytics to identify geographic variation in brand performance and market dynamics, ensuring insights are surfaced proactively.
  • Ensure the integrity of enterprise reporting infrastructure (e.g., Oncology LT Dashboard) for assigned brands, including proactive identification of data anomalies and validation of analytical outputs.
  • Connect reporting insights into a compelling, persuasive narrative and deliver clear, actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Identify emerging trends in the disease and treatment landscape (e.g., treatment sequencing, competitive dynamics, evolving standard of care) and proactively frame the commercial implications for brand and franchise leadership.
  • Align with other GCA teams to ensure cohesive activity across stakeholders and maintain consistency in methodology, metrics definitions, and reporting standards.
  • Actively contribute to the advancement of team capabilities through thought leadership, and share knowledge and expertise with colleagues across GCA.
  • Partner with other analytics functions to advance the use of novel data sources and reporting, including RWD and data science.
  • Direct and assess the work of vendor partners, providing analytical direction, quality oversight, and risk management.
  • Build trusted relationships with marketing, integrated insights, commercial excellence, data science, and market access stakeholders, translating complex analytical outputs into business language for VP and C-suite leaders.
