Director of Wound Care (RN) | Denver LTACH
About The Position
PAM Health is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and results-driven Director of Wound Care to lead our wound care program. In this leadership role, you will work closely with wound providers and bridge communication between providers and a wound care team of 5-7 clinical staff. This position will oversee the daily operations of the wound care department, ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, and maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with a strong clinical background in wound care and a passion for improving patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Current CPR certification.
- Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) certification (or equivalent, if applicable) in good standing.
- Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Nice To Haves
- Three (3) or more years of progressive supervisory or management experience in wound care.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in an acute care, rehabilitation, or post-acute healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction, and supervision for the wound care team.
- Oversee all wound care service operations to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care.
- Evaluate staffing needs and recommend appropriate staff-to-patient ratios to support quality outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Foster effective communication by serving as a liaison between clinical staff and hospital administration.
- Promote staff engagement, accountability, productivity, and professional development.
- Develop, implement, and maintain departmental policies, procedures, and best practices in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and organizational guidelines.
- Monitor quality metrics and implement performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide exceptional wound care services.
