About The Position

Greenview Assisted Living, a Cardinal Senior Living community, is seeking a Director of Wellness to lead clinical operations with confidence, develop a strong care team, and ensure residents receive the dignity, safety, and care they deserve. This is a hands-on role requiring visibility within the community, close interaction with residents and families, team coaching, problem-solving, system strengthening, and accountability for excellent resident care. The ideal candidate will enjoy leading and developing clinical staff, building a consistent and high-performing team, staying connected to resident needs, proactively solving problems, coaching effectively, fostering strong relationships, partnering with the Executive Director, and bringing structure and accountability to clinical operations.

Requirements

  • Active LPN or RN license
  • Senior living, assisted living, long-term care, or related clinical experience
  • Previous nursing or clinical leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of assessments, care planning, medication management, documentation, and resident care
  • Experience leading and developing care staff
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence working with residents, families, employees, providers, and leadership

Nice To Haves

  • Director of Wellness, Director of Nursing, Wellness Nurse, or similar leadership experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the clinical function at Greenview, including resident assessments and care planning.
  • Manage changes in condition and clinical follow-up.
  • Oversee medication management and documentation.
  • Handle admissions and transitions of care.
  • Coordinate with physicians, pharmacies, home health, hospice, and other providers.
  • Implement infection prevention and clinical safety measures.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to documentation standards.
  • Manage resident and family communication.
  • Oversee clinical staffing, onboarding, coaching, and development.
  • Hire, onboard, coach, and develop clinical team members.
  • Set clear expectations for performance and resident care.
  • Provide hands-on education and guidance.
  • Address performance issues directly and appropriately.
  • Strengthen communication and accountability across the team.
  • Foster a workplace where strong employees want to stay and grow.
  • Partner with the Executive Director to connect resident care with staffing, occupancy, family experience, compliance, and overall community performance.
