About The Position

Assumes responsibility for the overall management of the Wellness Center Facility. Develops and directs individual and/or group wellness programs and activities, in coordination with Physical Therapy services. Designs and markets wellness programs in the community, for recruitment and retention of members. Establishes and maintains department policies, procedures, and methods of operation, in coordination with Physical Therapy Services. Selects staff; provides orientation, training, in-service education, and other staff development programs. Monitors effective utilization of staff to maximize productivity; coaches, evaluates and counsels staff regarding performance, problem-solving, and decision making; serves as a role model. Designs advertising and promotional materials, and displays for marketing the wellness programs. Plans recruitment activities to enroll and maintain the membership. Develops and monitors member fee structures; directs billing and collection procedures. Monitors customer feedback regarding department services and effects changes to maintain a positive personal and department visibility in the community. Completes performance appraisals, records, and reports in a timely manner; ensures that all department services meet standards and regulatory requirements. Ensures department equipment is in safe operating condition; evaluates and recommends new equipment purchases. Prepares annual department budget; applies innovative methods to increase revenue and decrease expenses; projects margin of income through budget, and operates department within budgetary limits. Other roles and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in Marketing, Health/Business Management
  • Minimum of two years related management experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, decision-making, and leadership skill required

Nice To Haves

  • National certifications, (i.e. NSCA, ACSM, ACE)
  • Health education preferred
