About The Position

Nuphoriq, a niche marketing agency based in Chicago with over 15 years of experience and a large portfolio of long-term clients, is seeking a senior website strategist and designer to lead their website services. This role involves taking ownership of the website service, improving existing work, and shaping future offerings. The ideal candidate will have decision-making authority, work directly with ownership, and have a path toward expanded leadership and profit sharing as the service grows. Unlike many agencies, Nuphoriq's clients trust their expertise, leading to fewer revisions and a focus on high-quality work. This position requires confidence, judgment, and the ability to understand clients' needs to drive projects forward effectively.

Requirements

Strong design ability with an extensive portfolio of websites designed.
Business judgment to understand client needs and create websites that achieve business outcomes.
Sufficient understanding of writing, SEO, analytics, and development to set strategy and lead a team.
6+ years of agency experience.
A portfolio of 5+ websites personally designed from scratch.
Comfortable creating brands and design systems from scratch.
Comfortable making decisions without complete information.

Responsibilities

Lead website strategy and design for new website builds and existing client sites.
Be responsible for the overall success of all website services.
Track and optimize client website performance to improve lead quantity, lead quality, and traffic.
Personally design great websites.
Understand client businesses, audiences, offers, and goals to determine website requirements.
Set analytics benchmarks, track performance, and make decisions for improvement.
Drive traffic through site structure, content direction, SEO, and GEO strategies.
Design websites that convert visitors into leads and continuously improve conversion rates.
Lead the web team and freelancers through the website development process.
Improve design, tools, systems, and processes in response to evolving web, SEO, AI, and development trends.
Help build a website team and system to increase website creation capacity without sacrificing quality.
