About The Position

AMERI-CANS is a veteran-owned and operated national provider of temporary water solutions, founded on the principles of listening to customer needs and ensuring no task is too big or too small. The company is building a national capability to deliver reliable potable-water and wastewater utility support to mission-critical environments. This role is for a practical, technically credible leader to build and own the regulatory and operating framework for this capability. It is an enterprise leadership position with meaningful field presence, not a desk-bound compliance role. The Director will scale existing standards for potable-water quality, transportation, storage, and distribution; wastewater hauling and disposal; permitting; environmental controls; regulatory relationships; and field execution across multiple states. The ideal candidate can interpret complex requirements, determine operational significance, and convert them into straightforward systems for field execution.

Requirements

Significant progressive experience in potable water, water treatment, wastewater, environmental compliance, utility operations, mobile water systems, industrial water, municipal water, or a closely related field.
Hands-on understanding of drinking water quality, treatment processes, sampling, sanitation, disinfection, filtration, or comparable technical water operations.
Experience working directly with regulators, utilities, public water systems, environmental agencies, or local authorities.
Demonstrated success building or materially improving programs across multiple locations, projects, or jurisdictions.
The ability to translate regulations and technical requirements into simple, workable field procedures.
Sound judgment, personal accountability, and the confidence to make decisions in ambiguous operating environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to travel regularly and work directly in field environments.
Residence in, or willingness to relocate to, Virginia or Texas.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain a scalable, multi-state compliance program for potable-water and wastewater operations.
Lead regulatory analysis, permitting, agency engagement, and launch readiness as AMERI-CANS enters new markets and supports new projects.
Establish practical standards for water quality, equipment sanitation, inspection, traceability, sampling, testing, incident response, and corrective action.
Oversee wastewater hauling permits, disposal approvals, environmental documentation, renewal requirements, and regulatory records.
Develop field-ready training, inspection, audit, and reporting systems.
Work directly with public water systems, utilities, health departments, environmental agencies, laboratories, engineers, and other authorities.
Conduct field reviews of branches, yards, vehicles, equipment, and active projects and drive corrective actions through completion.
Advise executive leadership on material risks, permit status, operational readiness, and emerging requirements.
Partner with Operations, Fleet, Safety, and branch leadership to make compliance part of reliable day-to-day execution.
