About The Position

Bear Lake Memorial Healthcare is looking for a Director of Volunteer Services to provide guidance and support to the volunteer services and functions for the hospital. This role involves leading volunteer staff, managing the hospital Thrift Store, organizing fundraising events, and developing volunteer training and placement programs. The Director will also coordinate volunteer assignments, support various hospital departments, and recruit for the Junior Volunteer program. Additionally, the position requires budget management, financial reporting, community liaison, and participation in hospital committees and external meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and leadership to the volunteer staff.
  • Assist in accomplishing the mission, vision and values of Bear Lake Memorial Healthcare.
  • Direct staff and manage the operations of the hospital Thrift Store.
  • Organize and carry out the Auxiliaries’ many fund-raising events.
  • Support the volunteer leadership of the Auxiliary.
  • Develop and manage volunteer training, orientation, and placement activities, in accordance with hospital policy and procedure.
  • Provide leadership for volunteer projects and coordinate the assignments of volunteers.
  • Offer and coordinate volunteer services to various hospital departments.
  • Recruit and support Junior Volunteer program.
  • Work in coordination with hospital administration to develop and monitor the annual budget and finances of the Auxiliary and provide financial information for auditors.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • In coordination with Public Relations, serve as a community liaison.
  • Serve on the Foundation Board and assist with all Foundation and Public Relations events.
  • Serve on internal hospital committees.
  • Represent the organization at meetings outside the facility.
  • Provide general support and leadership in accomplishing in vision, mission and objectives of the hospital and hospital auxiliary.
