Director of Volunteer Services
About The Position
Our patients are our number one priority! We're committed to giving children back their childhood! This role oversees the organizational operations of the Volunteer Services Department, supports and supervises the Volunteer Services staff, and collaborates with the Frisco Liaison. The Director also supports the Volunteer Executive Committee by developing volunteer leadership and supports the Wish List Committee with fundraising, coordinating with the Development team regarding donated items, and managing the yearly process of grant requests and awards. Additionally, this position determines volunteer recruitment initiatives and onboarding standards, conducts yearly volunteer training to meet Joint Commission requirements, and oversees the weekly Volunteer Newsletter. The Director is responsible for preparing and monitoring the department’s budget and overseeing volunteer recognition programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in volunteer setting required
- An additional 3 years of management experience required
Responsibilities
- Oversee the organizational operations of the Volunteer Services Department
- Support and supervise the Volunteer Services staff: educates, trains, and collaborates with staff on all projects; oversees the staff implementation of projects, and collaborates with Frisco Liaison
- Support the Volunteer Executive Committee: develop volunteer leadership
- Support the Wish List Committee fundraising, coordinate with the Development team regarding donated items, and manage the yearly process of grant requests and awards
- Determine volunteer recruitment initiatives and onboarding standards, and yearly volunteer training to meet Joint Commission requirements
- Oversee the weekly Volunteer Newsletter
