About The Position

The Director provides strategic, fiscal, and operational leadership for the University Coaching & Academic Mentoring (UCAM) program. This role is responsible for complete budget management, program sustainability, fee-for-service compliance, scholarship criteria evaluation, and long-term strategic direction. The Director serves as the primary external face of UCAM, driving recruitment initiatives, spearheading parent/family relations, designing marketing strategies, and leading public presentations to secure programmatic health and growth.

Requirements

Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Educational Leadership, Student Affairs, Counseling, Special Education, or a closely matching managerial/human service field.
A minimum of three to five (3-5) years of progressive administrative or supervisory leadership experience within a post-secondary or institutional framework.
Proven competence in fiscal administration, budget construction, fee-for-service, or non-profit management.
Excellent professional public speaking, marketing execution, and multi-stakeholder communication skills.
Must be able to legally work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Must possess and maintain a current, valid Driver License.
Must successfully complete a Criminal Background Check.

Nice To Haves

Experience managing specialized programs dedicated to neurodivergent college students or students with learning differences.
Demonstrated success in donor management, alumni stewardship, or corporate/institutional grant execution.

Responsibilities

Oversee and reconcile the full UCAM operating budget, verifying fee-for-service billing accuracy, term fee postings, and collection holds.
Establish criteria for, evaluate, and award UCAM programmatic scholarships based on financial aid indices, Student Aid Index (SAI), and documented need.
Supervise and evaluate the Lead Academic Coach, providing top-tier oversight for the entire departmental workforce structure.
Lead long-term strategic planning for UCAM in strict alignment with Student Life, Academic Affairs, and broader institutional targets.
Serve as the primary public representative and voice of the UCAM program across all campus, regional, and national frameworks.
Design, curate, and update professional programmatic marketing materials, online interfaces, and promotional collateral.
Plan, coordinate, and execute strategic regional recruitment trips to secondary schools, community organizations, and educational fairs.
Deliver keynote presentations, informative workshops, and panel sessions at primary university milestones (Preview Days, Orientations, and Week of Welcome).
Formally establish, manage, and facilitate a dedicated UCAM Parent & Family Support Group to enrich communication channels.
Manage high-level, sensitive parent communications, navigating complex FERPA requirements, inquiries, and billing adjustments with discretion.
Partner with University Advancement to cultivate relationship pipelines with program donors, alumni advocates, and institutional funding circles.
Track, analyze, and report on core enrollment, student retention, and graduation metrics to refine program efficiency and demonstrate institutional value.
Identify and pursue targeted grant opportunities to expand scholarship resources or enhance programmatic operations.
Maintain programmatic agility by providing emergency overflow coaching support (0-5 cases) or high-level case intervention during crisis periods.
