The role ensures that cash, debt, investments, derivatives, hedging, foreign exchange, intercompany funding, bank fees, interest, and related treasury activities are accurately recorded, controlled, analyzed, and reported. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this leader partners with the Treasurer, tax, FP&A, legal, shared services, external auditors, and systems teams to create a globally consistent, scalable, and well-controlled treasury accounting model. Scope and Strategic Remit Lead the global treasury accounting function, including accounting policy execution, close processes, journal entries, reconciliations, controls, reporting analytics, and audit support for treasury-related activities. Set the 3-5 year roadmap for treasury accounting capability, including operating model, Kyriba and BlackLine integration, data quality, talent model, process automation, and control maturity. Establish accounting governance for debt, derivatives, hedges, FX, intercompany financing, cash pooling, investments, bank relationships, and other treasury transactions. Own functional performance and end results for treasury accounting, with accountability for timeliness, accuracy, control effectiveness, stakeholder experience, and issue resolution. Lead managers, senior professionals, and shared service partners supporting global treasury accounting operations. Treasury Accounting Strategy and Governance Define the global treasury accounting operating model, including end-to-end process ownership, approval thresholds, close activities, control points, service levels, and escalation routines. Translate treasury strategy and corporate accounting requirements into a multi-year functional plan that strengthens data integrity, reporting quality, controls, and scalability. Develop accounting playbooks for significant treasury transactions, including debt issuance, refinancing, covenant-related activity, hedging programs, FX remeasurement, cash pooling, intercompany loans, dividends, and capital contributions. Establish governance forums with Treasury, Tax, Legal, FP&A, regional controllership, and shared services to review planned transactions, technical accounting impacts, and execution risks. Close, Reporting, and Technical Accounting Execution Oversee treasury-related month-end and quarter-end close activities, ensuring accurate journal entries, reconciliations, analytics, disclosures support, and management reporting. Ensure appropriate accounting treatment for debt, interest, investments, derivatives, hedge accounting, FX, intercompany funding, cash and cash equivalents, restricted cash, and related balance sheet and cash flow statement activity. Partner with Technical Accounting to evaluate complex or non-routine treasury transactions and document accounting conclusions, judgments, and controls. Controls, Audit, and Risk Management Own SOX-aligned controls for treasury accounting processes, including journal entry review, reconciliation quality, segregation of duties, data validation, hedge documentation support, and system interface controls. Coordinate external audit requests related to treasury accounting, including PBC ownership, support quality, issue resolution, and follow-up actions. Identify and resolve control gaps, recurring reconciliation issues, data quality defects, and process handoff risks across Treasury, Accounting, Shared Services, and IT. Maintain clear governance over manual adjustments, recurring entries, estimates, Kyriba feeds, BlackLine reconciliations, system interfaces, and account ownership to reduce risk and improve close discipline. Systems, Automation, and Data Quality Partner with Treasury and IT to improve integration among ERP, Kyriba, BlackLine, banking platforms, consolidation tools, and reporting dashboards. Lead automation and simplification efforts related to bank fee accounting, interest accruals, FX remeasurement, intercompany settlements, cash pooling entries, BlackLine account reconciliations, Kyriba-driven treasury activity, and close analytics. Define data ownership and quality routines for treasury master data, legal entity mappings, bank account structures, transaction attributes, and reporting hierarchies. Support system implementations, treasury transformations, acquisitions, divestitures, or legal entity changes by ensuring accounting, Kyriba, BlackLine, and control requirements are built into the design. Senior Leadership Partnership and Influence Advise senior finance leaders on accounting, reporting, and control implications of treasury strategies, capital structure changes, liquidity actions, and global funding decisions. Influence Treasury, Tax, Legal, FP&A, and regional leaders to adopt standard accounting processes and controls when priorities or local practices differ. Provide clear, executive-ready updates to the Corporate Controller, Chief Accounting Officer, Treasurer, and other senior stakeholders on treasury accounting performance, risks, and improvement priorities. Leadership Expectations Build, develop, and retain a team with deep treasury accounting capability, clear ownership, strong controls mindset, and practical business judgment. Lead through managers and senior professionals, setting standards and priorities while developing future controllership talent.
