About The Position

Wholesale Produce Supply is seeking a strategic Director of Transportation to lead all aspects of our transportation operations, including inbound and outbound logistics, fleet maintenance, transportation strategy, and regulatory compliance. Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet management
• Proven success leading large-scale inbound and outbound transportation operations
• Strong experience managing transportation budgets and controlling costs
• Expertise with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and transportation analytics
• Outstanding leadership, communication, and team development skills
• Strategic mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute transportation strategies that improve service, efficiency, and profitability
• Lead inbound and outbound transportation operations, drivers, dispatch, and fleet maintenance
• Oversee transportation budgets, freight spend, fuel usage, and operational costs
• Negotiate contracts with carriers and transportation partners
• Ensure DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and regulatory compliance
• Analyze KPIs and transportation data to drive continuous improvement
• Partner with Operations, Sales, Customer Service, and leadership to support company objectives
• Evaluate new technology and systems to improve transportation performance
