The Director of Transformation is responsible for driving Danaher Business System (DBS) capability and continuous improvement for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics (BecDx) Manufacturing Leadership (Americas) team, including innovation, growth and Lean. The role is a key partner to the Americas Manufacturing Leadership team to develop both long- and short-term DBS strategies. This position reports to the Vice President of Manufacturing Americas and is part of the BecDx Manufacturing Leadership (Americas) team with high preference to be located onsite in Chaska, MN though we may consider an alternate work arrangement. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Implement Danaher Innovation, Growth, and Lean Playbooks across Beckman Coulter Diagnostics North American Operations to assess organization skills/capabilities. Develop DBS road maps and action plans to drive organizational maturity and build competitive advantages, while driving DBS awareness, engagement, and capability. Implement and sustain Danaher Innovation, Growth and Lean processes and tools including Strategic Innovation Review and Product Planning Group, Strategic Commercial Review, Policy Deployment, while driving accountability and sustainability of Lean Manufacturing processes. Partner with Danaher and the BecDx Danaher Business System Leader office to develop both long- and short-term DBS strategies to meet business needs and continuous improvement. Directly provide formal and informal DBS training, coaching, and facilitate other training sessions. Be an active leader in VPM installation, Kaizen’s, PSPs and Daily Management reviews. Expertise and ability to facilitate SIPOC and FMEA analyses to identify process improvements and mitigate risks in manufacturing operations. Drive process characterization and Design of Experiments (DOE) to systematically investigate and optimize manufacturing processes, enhancing product quality and operational efficiency. Ensure successful Kaizen events by installing and ensuring compliance to the Kaizen process to include planning of Kaizens with a dynamic funnel process tied to PD and Daily Management, Kaizen execution, and sustainment of Kaizen deliverables. Promote and facilitate diagnosis of workflow impediments and other inefficiencies across global operations, providing expert counsel on appropriate DBS tools to eliminate them. Conduct internal and external benchmarking and integrate practices into DBS.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in the Engineering or other Scientific field and 20 years of experience in Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain environments OR a master’s degree and 18 years of experience in Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain environments
  • Significant DBS practitioner experience
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt
  • Significant project management and process improvement experience
  • Experience leading through influence and presenting to executive audiences
  • Ability to travel up to 50% domestically per business needs
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 15lbs
