About The Position

The Village of Riverside Glen has an exciting opportunity for a Director of the Program for Active Living (PAL) to join their team. This role is permanent and full-time, located at 60 Woodlawn Road E, Guelph ON. The expected hiring range is $58,000 to $61,000, with growth opportunities based on demonstrated performance. Requirements

• Degree in Kinesiology with a focus on psychomotor behaviour and exercise rehabilitation
• Member in good standing with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario

• Experience working in a Long-Term Care setting
• Current Heart Save Level of CPR

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for the development, and evaluation of comprehensive operational policies and programs for the Village PAL program.
• Provide leadership, support and evaluate PAL programs and projects including restorative, restraints, falls, care conferences, and research to practice initiatives.
• Coordinates with external stakeholders including the LHIN regarding OT/PT services, vendor relations for application resident equipment, external service providers for additional therapy/exercise programs.
• Participates in Village interdisciplinary team meetings or committees as appropriate, while communicating and working in collaboration with other interdisciplinary team members.
• Provide leadership to the PAL Coordinator(s) and supports PAL Students, Volunteers and contracted therapy services who assist with the PAL program.
• Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members.
• Understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the role.
